The last week before vacation. I am ready for a bit of down time. Vacation will end with the machine gun shoot. May take a mini trip down to Nashville as I have never been there before. It's only a few hour drive. No definite plans other than the shoot.
Hit the local gun show at the armory today. Didn't see anything I couldn't live without. Did pick up a couple more magazines for the AR. They are down to ten bucks again. Weather wasn't too nasty today. Actually bordered on 60 for a brief period before dipping back to the 50's.

Problem with liberals
http://www.twcc.com/articles/2014/03/28/p/piers-morgan-ends-cnn-show-with-gun-control-plea
They just don't get it. Even after losing his livelihood, he just doesn't get it. Right to the end, he just doesn't understand that the people have indeed spoken. The politicians are not getting threatened by the NRA, they are being threatened by gun owners (there are a lot of us) which happen to vote. I am sure when the senate goes red in the fall, there will be more head scratching as the liberals still fail to see why. Almost feel sorry for them, NOT.

Had to recheck the calendar
Yes, yes it is March. It's the end of March. Why on earth is there white shit falling from the sky??????? I have had enough. Time for some nice solid sixties and sunshine already. Hoping the weather improves. Week after next is vacation, and toward the end of vacation is the machine gun shoot. I would really like to see some nice weather by then. If not, maybe we can burn Al Gore to keep warm. In effigy of course, yeah, that's what I meant, effigy. Mr. Global warming.

Busy week
Been insane at work. Have to work Saturday, but off Sunday. Have a gun show and a huge flea market to go to Sunday. Hope the weather is decent. Going to try and get the rear view camera wires run tomorrow after work. Been rather wet out and just don't feel like crawling under the truck through puddles. Wiring harnesses are all soldered and ready for installing. Supposedly going to be in the 70's tomorrow. Ready for the weekend, only two more days.......

Figures
It was in the 60's yesterday while I worked. Today, mid 30's, sleet and rain with a couple inches of snow predicted evening through the night. Wasn't up to an Indy trip, so I decided to cook up some corned beef and cabbage and just veg out a little today. Do a little cleaning and a lot of relaxing. I am ready for spring.

Well, gun violence is way up...
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-154307/Gun-crime-soars-35.html
Maybe Piers Morgan should go home. He supports the gun control agenda, maybe he can help them figure out what is wrong with their system. After all, guns are illegal, thus, gun crime should go down, right? Why can't the dems and liberals look across the pond, or Mexican border, and see how horribly bad gun control really is?

A whole day off, what shall I do...
The schedule is out and I actually get a whole day off. The weather is back down to chilly, but it is still a day off. Yesterday was mid seventies, today, chilly and we had big snowflakes falling. Huge flakes. Fortunately the ground is warm enough to melt them on contact. I am off Sunday and have to decide between helping at the club spot shoot, or heading to Indy for the gun show. Or, I could just lounge around the house. All sounds good. Three more weeks until vacation and counting.

Absolutely perfect out there.......
Spent some time after work enjoying the sunny seventy two degree weather. It's about time. Getting more familiar with the truck. Bought a new stereo and speakers for it. Soldered the wiring harness together and almost ready to install. Waiting on the back up camera. Don't want to have to install it twice. Also ordered a couple pigtails for the speakers so I don't have to cut the harness to install them. Spent the extra and got the navigation built into the radio. Should fix the annoying problem of the garmin falling off the dash. Battery is charging for the Vette and got some yard work done as well. Extra daylight makes for a more productive evening.

Lucky coincidence
I should get one day off this weekend, and, the Indy 1500 falls on this weekend. Just got my save a buck coupon in the mail or I would have forgotten about it. Have to see if I get the weekend or not, but it is a possibility. One of the guys from work said they have been known to work people three full weeks and then give them Monday off instead of a weekend day, so it won't be definite until the weekend schedule hits the wall. I can see how the truck does on the highway.

We are going for three weeks in a row, yeahhhh
Got to work through the weekend yet again. At least the weather is still craptastic. We went from dead to insane. Rather do the hours now while the weather is all wet, cold and nasty. Did make it to the carwash and knocked a whole ton of salt and muck off the truck. Paycheck should look good, as long as I just look at the before tax column. Uncle Sam will be taking an extra helping to distribute among the democrats.
Did remember to set the clock ahead so I was on time. I am more than ready for a day off. Should get next Sunday off as they have a limit of twenty one days in a row and they have to give you a day off. Just an unreal amount of work to get out. Would help if the machinery would keep working. We lost another of the OD grinders which puts the full load of work through my machines. Four more weeks and I am on vacation. Hopefully the weather will be a tad warmer and drier. Not sure what I am going to do yet, but it will just be nice to get a little down time.

Nice
We got a little drizzle and some icing, but nowhere near as bad as they forecast. It was especially nice since it was Sunday as there was hardly any traffic at all. Take away the people who can't drive, and not so bad. Weekend workdays fly by as there are no bosses to be annoying and get in the way. Not to mention, the radio can be turned way up. Nice day all the way around.
Finally tried out the temperature probe that the new oven came with. Cooked a whole turkey breast. All you need do is enter the internal temp of the meat you desire, set oven temp, and it cooks until done. Combine that with the convection part, and it worked wonderfully. Convection cut about a half hour off the cook time and with the probe, I didn't have to keep an eye on it. Neat part is, after meat hits target temp, it beeps three times, and kicks the oven into keep warm mode. So, if you are busy elsewhere, the meal doesn't burn. Very happy with it.

Yet another ice storm
Crazy weather. It was in the mid 50's all day, while I was working, and overnight and all day tomorrow and into Monday is suppose to be freezing sleet and rain turning to ice. Yeah. I am suppose to work tomorrow, but, if there is a nice layer of ice on the road, back to bed I go. Lucked out and they told me tomorrow is optional. Hope to make it. I hate turning down double time, but if it is as bad as they are saying, it isn't worth it. Hoping it goes around us like the last several have.
